In the 1820s a travel book described Lenox as "a town of uncommon beauty" that was "like a gem among the mountains." It was here in Lenox that Andrew Thompson built his home in 1836. His home would become this Inn. Designed in a Federal style with two chimneys and a gable roof, the house has welcomed numerous owners over the years. Its first major remodeling was in 1872, by the couple who then owned the house. Its most recent refresh is the Inn you see today, each room endowed with a singular charm. Fittingly, the Inn's owner, Annie Selke, grew up right here in the Berkshires and lives in Lenox.
